The US Ambassador to Bahrain HE Steven C. Bondy visited the American Mission Hospital and met with the Corporate CEO Dr. George Cheriyan on Monday, 15 August 2022. 

He highlighted the very first American presence in the Kingdom of Bahrain through this hospital, and said it is a recognition of the historic ties between the countries, and also of its enduring lifesaving work in the country.

The US Ambassador  also met with Ms Julia Tovey, the Group CEO, and some of the staff, and was shown around the hospital by Dr George Cheriyan.

HE Steven C. Bondy was nominated by the US President Biden to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain in April 2021 and confirmed by the Senate in December 2021. Previously, he was Chargé d'Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in the United Arab Emirates for the period 2017-2020.
